ICP Germany is expanding its PPC2 panel PC series.

With the PPC2 series, ICP Germany is expanding ist portfolio of panel PCs for industrial use with a particularly high-performance alternative. The PPC2 series uses the latest technology and integrates Alder Lake processors, which enable fast and efficient operation. For newcomers, there is also a suitable entry-level series based on the Elkhart Lake Celeron® J6412 processor. The PPC2-Cxx-EHL series is available in various sizes and formats, including 8″, 10″, 12.1″, 15″, 17″ and 19″ in 4:3 display format as well as 15.6″, 18.5″ and 21.5″ in 16:9 format. Particularly practical is the PCAP touch screen, which supports wet and glove operation and thus enables flexible use in different environments. With the expansion of the portfolio, ICP Germany thus offers a wide selection of panel PCs for different requirements in the industrial sector.

The Elkhart Lake processor is an ideal choice for IoT edge devices as it offers a range of features that are critical for these devices. The processor has four processor cores that operate at a base clock of 2.0 GHz and can reach a turbo frequency of up to 2.6 GHz if required. Compared to its predecessor, the Elkhart Lake processor offers significantly higher single-thread and multi-thread performance, making it a powerful and efficient solution for IoT edge devices. In addition, the processor has features for IoT that allow devices to be easily networked and managed, as well as real-time performance and functional security that are essential for many IoT applications.

The PPC2 series from ICP Germany is equipped with a pre-installed 8GB DDR4 RAM in the Dual Channel slot to ensure high performance and efficiency of the system. For application and data storage, users can either use the 2.5-inch HDD/SSD mounting bay or the M.2 slot with M Key, which supports modules in sizes 2242/2280 with B-Key or 2242 M Key. A wide range of connectivity options such as HDMI, Dual 2.5 GbE, USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gb/s), USB 2.0, RS-232/422/485 and RS-232 are also available. These allow for customised connectivity and flexibility in the use of ICP Germany’s PPC2 series to meet all user requirements and needs.

ICP Germany has revised the panel mounting kits of its PPC2 series to enable tool-free installation. This innovation significantly simplifies the installation of the panels and saves time and effort. In addition, the new graphical tBIOS is specially designed for easy operation and adjustment without additional keyboards. With this user-friendly system, users can easily access and adjust all necessary functions without having to go through complicated procedures.

The PPC2-EHL series from ICP Germany is also extremely robust and flexible, and can operate in a wide temperature range from -10 °C to 60 °C. The series is capable of operating on voltages from 12 to 24 VDC, providing additional versatility and compatibility with other industrial systems.

If required, ICP Germany also offers the option of supplying the PPC2 series as a ready-to-use system with an industrial storage medium and operating system to further facilitate application and use for users.
