SOCOMEC, the specialist in low-voltage electrical installations, is set to launch its new DELPHYS XM UPS series in May. These five models, ranging from 300 to 800 kVA/kW, are distinguished by their high power density, energy efficiency, and modular architecture. The systems consist of 100 kW modules that can be exchanged during operation, significantly reducing maintenance time. In Smart Conversion Mode, the units achieve an efficiency of up to 99%, while in double-conversion mode, the efficiency reaches 97.1%. When the load is below 40%, the systems automatically switch to Energy Saver Mode, with the individual modules working alternately to maximize efficiency in partial load conditions.

Study predicts colocation data center market to double by 2033
According to a study by global consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, the market for colocation data centers is projected to more than double to over 18.6 billion euros from 2023 to 2033. Given the increasing constraints on space and land scarcity, operators are compelled to seek compact solutions with high density. SOCOMEC’s DELPHYS XM offers the ideal product for these applications. Its power density of up to 800 kVA/kW on a footprint of just 0.8 m² sets a new industry record. With these systems, data centers can significantly reduce their space requirements, as well as their cooling needs, energy consumption, and COâ emissions. By operating in Smart Conversion Mode with an average load of 50%, for example, they can save 42 tons of COâ per year.
